Cobalt has been making a real impact on our community since 1964 through supporting cancer and health services locally. The work focuses on five main areas:

• funding appropriate medical research to bring tangible benefits to cancer patients
• providing training and education for healthcare professionals in radiology and oncology
• promoting awareness and prevention of cancers through workshops and presentations
• facilitating screening for cancer as with the provision of Gloucestershire’s breast centre
• providing state of the art imaging for diagnosis enabling detection of cancers and abnormalities inside the body

Pancreatic Cancer UK is the only national charity dedicated to fighting pancreatic cancer on all fronts: through information, support, awareness and research. The charity is committed to improving survival rates for this most fatal cancer and works in partnership with specialists, research scientists, GPs, patients and their families throughout the UK and beyond.
